LITIGATION
Recently, the firm was in the news with
its co-counsel in a fraud and breach of
fiduciary duty case that resulted in a
highly favorable judgment. Thereafter,
the firm brokered a multi-year deal
between the city of Houston and its
police pension system, which not only
protected pension rights but also
saved hundreds of jobs. And this fall,
the firm will be preparing for trial in a
multimillion-dollar breach of fiduciary
duty matter against one of the world’s
largest banks for its role investing client
funds in subprime mortgage securities.
