RICHARD B. JACOBS

As a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, Jacobs has served as governor of the national board and as past president of the Maryland Chapter. Jacobs is co-director of AAML’s Institute for Family Law Associates. He is a past chair of the Maryland State Bar Association’s family law section, and has lectured throughout the state. Co-author of Marital Settlement Agreements, Jacobs is also a fellow of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.

Joined by Ilene Glickman Horwitz and Cynthia Batchelder, the firm’s family law practice handles high-conflict and complex family law cases, often for clients referred by other professionals. The firm focuses on high net-worth divorce matters, alimony, child support, custody determinations, business and professional practice valuations, marital agreements and distribution of marital property.

A certified mediator and arbitrator (AAML), Jacobs completed the AAML-sponsored Harvard Negotiation Program, as well as collaborative law training. He also maintains a separate family law mediation practice.
