Michael Rust’s practice focuses on the defense of personal
injury and property damage claims on behalf of corporations
and insurers primarily arising out of the construction industry.
Mr. Rust also has extensive experience in representing insurers
in coverage litigation and has written and spoken both in
Georgia and nationally on this topic. Mr. Rust graduated from
Emory University in 1976 and earned his law degree from Emory
in 1983 where he was an Editor of the Emory Law Journal.
Mr. Rust is a member of the Board of the Litigation Section of
the Atlanta Bar and is an active member of the Georgia Defense

Matt Moffett has defended civil cases in state and federal courts
for the last 22 years. Over the last two years, Matt has tried and
won eight significant jury trials, with four of those cases involving
contended wrongful deaths where each plaintiffs’ attorney
asked the jury to award millions of dollars in damages. In 2011,
Matt presented Persuading with Technology in the Courtroom
in Washington, D.C. at the annual meeting of the Defense
Research Institute, and Trying the Unwinnable Case in New York
City at the Renaissance Symposium IV of the Litigation Counsel
of America. In 2012, he will chair the faculty at the Trial Academy
