Mike Tewksbury spent the first eight years of his career doing
insurance defense litigation with the Rider Bennett firm.
Following a stint at Schwebel, Goetz & Sieben, Mr. Tewksbury
and Mr. Kerfeld opened their own firm in 1994. Mr. Tewksbury’s
practice focuses on the representation of injured people and
insurance coverage questions. His goal in representation of
clients is to obtain a good result in an as efficient and stress-free
manner for the client as possible. This approach, coupled
with having done both plaintiff and defense work, serves
Mr. Tewksbury well in his ADR practice. He is often called upon
to mediate claims or to serve as an arbitrator at the request of
other attorneys.
Mark Vandelist is a founding partner in the firm of Vandelist &
Vandelist. He is a Civil Trial Specialist who has specialized in
representing injured people for over 27 years. He received his
certification as a Civil Trial Specialist by the Minnesota State Bar
Association in 1993 and by the National Board of Trial Advocacy
in 1995. Since that time Mark has obtained some of the largest
personal injury verdicts and settlements in Minnesota. He is
a frequent lecturer regarding trial advocacy and Minnesota
no-fault automobile insurance law. He also serves as a mediator
and arbitrator in a variety of civil matters.
Mark Hallberg realized during clerkships with personal injury
legends Clint Grose and Charlie Hvass Sr. that he has a
passion for plaintiffs’ personal injury law and is attracted to the
complexity and challenge of medical malpractice cases. For
the past 30 years Mark has been telling the stories of people
harmed by medical negligence, defective medical products,
and automobile negligence. He has tried over 70 cases to
verdict and has obtained several multimillion-dollar recoveries
for his clients. He is a member of ABOTA, ACTL, and AAJ, and
is certified as a Civil Trial Attorney by MSBA and NBTA. He has
held the position of Adjunct Professor at WMCL for the past 13
years. Mark regularly receives referrals from lawyers throughout
the Midwest to handle medical negligence and other personal
