During the past decade, deRubertis has built The deRubertis Law Firm, PLC, into an employment law and trial lawyer powerhouse. While his primary focus is trying employment cases,
deRubertis’ broad experience has allowed him to obtain seven-
and eight-figure results in a wide range of cases, including
all types of employment disputes, insurance bad faith cases,
contingency business litigation and personal injury matters. A
trial lawyer at heart, deRubertis nonetheless has the versatility
to argue before juries and appellate justices alike. Indeed, he
regularly handles landmark employment law cases that reach
the California Supreme Court.

Deeply experienced in the courtroom, deRubertis knows how to effectively present each case to a jury. “These cases are human stories of real people, and each case has certain key turning points in the story,” he says. “If we can expose those key turning points— the moments where the defendant’s choice caused the lawsuit— we can show the jury that the plaintiff deserves its verdict.” deRubertis is also deeply committed to giving back to the legal community. He sits on the executive board of the California Employment Lawyers Association, the board of governors of the Consumer Attorneys of California and serves as a founding director of the Los Angeles Trial Lawyers’ Charities.
