Schwartz is a leader among Virginia personal injury and wrongful death lawyers. He has served as president of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association (V TLA), advocating for the rights of injured people in the Virginia Legislature and across the state. Since 2007, Schwartz has been selected to “Ten Leaders in Civil and Personal Injury Law” in Northern Virginia.

Schwartz is often asked to teach other lawyers how to maximize client recoveries. In May 2011 he lectured across Virginia on “Maximizing Recovery in Fracture Cases.” He has given more than 80 lectures to personal injury attorneys. He is a faculty and board member of the Virginia College of Trial Advocacy. He was honored to be the only lawyer to present the VTLA’s “Master of Advocacy Seminar” across Virginia.
