PERSONAL INJURY PLAINTIFF: GENERAL
James (“Jim”) Holland's practice currently focuses on plaintiffs' personal injury litigation in
matters ranging from auto accidents to aviation crashes and other wrongful death claims.
Holland formerly represented many large corporations, including The Boeing Company and
Rinker Materials Inc. He was a litigation associate at Perkins Coie, LLP and also served as a King
County deputy prosecuting attorney. Holland has extensive first and second chair civil litigation
experience. Recent cases of note include a $2.4 million award in Clark County Superior Court
and 16th Street Investors, LLC v. Morrison, 153 Wn. App. 44 (2009).
Holland is a graduate of the University of Washington and Willamette University College of Law.
He served as articles editor of the Willamette Law Review and has published an article in the
journal. Holland also studied politics for a year at Oxford University; was a former African safari
guide; and was a team member of an Oxford biological research expedition in Kenya. He is a
WSAJ Eagle Member and fanatical fly fisherman, holding the IGFA world-record for the largest
tarpon caught on a fly rod. Holland enjoys spending time at his home on Mercer Island with his
wife Tiffany, knee-high daughter Kate and mischievous beagle named Flash.
