CONSTRUCTION LITIGATION
GENERAL LITIGATION
PERSONAL INJURY DEFENSE: GENERAL
I was raised in Spokane and graduated from Gonzaga Prep (1968),
the University of Washington (B.A., English and history, 1973), and
the University of California, Hastings (J.D. 1978) after squeezing
in a tour as a medic in Vietnam (1971-1972). Defending criminal
cases (1978-1979) was not for me, but I greatly enjoyed serving
as a deputy prosecuting attorney in Lewis County (1980-1982).
Since then, for almost 30 years now, I have had the pleasure
of practicing with my best friends, defending civil suits, and
occasionally serving as an Arbitrator in UIM disputes. I would
like to take this opportunity to thank Mary Lou Hanshaw and
Patti Novak for their invaluable assistance over many years. Their
loyalty, cheerfulness, skill, and unfailing hard work have made
my professional life vastly more productive and pleasant than it
otherwise could have been.
