GENERAL LITIGATION
Mike is a commercial litigator who has handled a wide variety
of commercial disputes including unfair trade practice claims,
shareholder/partnership disputes, contract disputes, trade
secret claims, unlawful competition claims, CPA violations, and
employee discrimination claims. Mike litigates in both state
and federal court and in the Washington Court of Appeals and
the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. His practice now focuses on
insurance coverage litigation on behalf of policyholders. Mike
has been voted to the Washington Rising Stars list each year
since 2006. A Seattle native, Mike earned a B.A. in History from
Georgetown University. He received his J.D. degree from the
University of Michigan School of Law.

Ian S. Birk practices in Keller Rohrback L.L.P.’s section for plaintiff
tort and insurance bad faith litigation. Ian has represented

Charles represents contractors, developers, homeowners, and
other policyholders in insurance coverage litigation, construction
defect litigation, and appeals. In his practice, Charles assists
policyholders in a wide array of tasks including spotting and
analyzing coverage issues, preparing claims and proofs of loss,
giving notice to insurers and tendering claims for benefits,
negotiating settlements, bringing actions against insurers for
breach of contract and bad faith, and working with policyholders
to find unique and adaptive strategies to meet their coverage
goals. In addition to his coverage work Charles represents
business owners, developers, and general contractors in complex
litigation, including litigation involving real estate development,
environmental issues, and business disputes. During law school,
Charles served as an extern to the Honorable Ricardo Martinez.

Ryan Beaudoin handles a wide range of civil litigation matters in

Ben Coleman’s practice includes both litigation and transactional
work in Washington and Idaho. His representation of clients
includes medical malpractice defense, commercial litigation,
and health care transactions. Mr. Coleman received his
