Passion, determination and aggressiveness are some of the traits that have made Mark Frost so
successful in preserving American citizens’ civil and legal rights. With over 40 years of experience,
he has built an impressive and extensive portfolio of successfully litigated civil cases, earning him
an outstanding reputation.
Frost served his country as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1969 to 1972.
Frost has obtained millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements. He has tried civil cases involving
issues such as freedom of speech and association, sex and race discrimination, due process,
prisoner rights, police misconduct, disability, malicious prosecution and other employment cases.
Frost’s career reached a pinnacle in 2016, when he successfully argued Heffernan v. City of Paterson in
the United States Supreme Court. In Heffernan, Frost brought a First Amendment claim on behalf of a
detective in New Jersey’s Paterson Police Department, and the Supreme Court’s ruling in Heffernan’s
favor expanded First Amendment speech and association rights for millions of employees.
